-Coit Library-

In Memory of Tammie Coit

Tammie Coit was Coyote Valley Elementary's librarian for many years. She was a sensitive, loving person who had a wonderful sense of humor, and a tremendous passion for reading.  She loved books, ALL books.  She shared her love of reading with a generation of students at Coyote Valley School.  She would bring the characters in a book to life with her animated style of reading.

Tammie put her heart and soul into Coyote Valley’s library, dedicating time, over and above her work days.  She spent summers opening up the library for students and families to enjoy summer reading.  She held book fairs to raise money to help grow the library’s selection of books.

Tammie also loved the students of Coyote Valley School.  She treated them all like her own, with love and respect. After she passed away in 2016, our library was renamed Coit Library in her honor.
