An updated list of "Top Accelerated Reader Point Earners" for November is now displayed in the multi-use room at CVE. Accelerated Reader is a district wide program that is used at all school levels. Students read books at their reading level and then take quizzes on them to show their comprehension of the book. Points are gained for each quiz that is passed based on the percentage of questions answered correctly and the difficulty of the book. At the upper grades and through Middle School and High School, teachers include Accelerated Reader quizzes in calculating reading grades for the report card. Parents have the opportunity to track student progress through the AR homeconnect link that can be found on the CVE webpage.
